Big Moves in Melbourne: Local Properties Change Hands
If you’ve been keeping an eye on the real estate buzz around Brevard County, you may have noticed some significant developments in Melbourne. Recently, a substantial $35 million investment deal went down, which could reshape the local landscape. This transaction encompasses five diverse properties totaling over 294,000 square feet and highlights the growing appeal of our Space Coast region for investors and businesses alike.
One of the noteworthy pieces in this portfolio is the Melbourne Corporate Center. This 33,623-square-foot office building, home to the aerospace engineering firm Aeronix, sold for $3.1 million. Given Melbourne’s rich ties to the aerospace industry, it’s heartening to see such local firms thriving and contributing to the economy. Another prime player in this deal is the Hibiscus Professional Center, which brought in $2.5 million and hosts essential businesses like National Drug Screening and Benezra Gynecology. These establishments play a vital role in providing important services to our community.
Then there’s the Imperial Plaza, which sold for $12.2 million and boasts a lineup of tenants that includes the Department of State and the FBI. This bustling center not only enhances Brighton’s vibrant retail scene but also positions us as a strategic locale for critical services. The Centre at Suntree, another major asset, offers 82,172 square feet of retail and medical space and sold for $12.3 million, showcasing local favorites like Premier Urgent Care and Moon Golf.
As we continue to see significant investments in local properties, it raises the profile of Brevard County as a go-to destination for both businesses and residents. Investors like Max Ducharme of PMD Capital Management, who acquired two of the properties, are betting big on our local economy, which is a strong sign of confidence in Melbourne’s growth trajectory. With so many new developments on the horizon, it’ll be exciting to see how these changes benefit our community.
