π Share Your Christmas Tree Contest 2023: Let’s Make Brevard Merry & Bright! π
There’s something magical about a Christmas tree that captures the spirit of the season in a way nothing else can. Last year, we were absolutely blown away by the incredible response to our Christmas tree photo contest! It quickly became our most popular post of the year, bringing our community together during the holidays in the most heartwarming way.
So guess what, Melbourne friends? We’re bringing it back… and making it even BIGGER for 2023!
Why We’re Doing This Again (And Why You’ll Love It!)
While we all get to enjoy the beautiful light displays as we drive around Brevard County neighborhoods, we rarely get to peek inside and see the stunning Christmas trees that are the centerpiece of so many homes during the holidays.
Each tree tells a story – whether it’s decorated with cherished family ornaments passed down through generations, themed with coastal Florida flair, or meticulously designed with this year’s trending colors. Your Christmas tree is as unique as your family, and we want to celebrate that!
How to Enter Our Christmas Tree Contest
Entering is super simple:
- Take a photo of your decorated Christmas tree (feel free to include your family if you’d like!)
- Share it in the comments section of this post
- Add a brief description about what makes your tree special
- Tag a friend who might want to share their tree too!
That’s it! Your tree will be part of our virtual Melbourne Christmas tree tour, and you might just win one of our fantastic local prizes.
What’s New for This Year’s Contest
Based on last year’s amazing participation, we’ve added some fun new elements:
- Multiple Categories: Traditional, Creative/Unique, Kids’ Choice, and Best Florida-Themed
- Local Prizes: Gift cards to Melbourne’s favorite shops and restaurants
- Community Gallery: We’ll create a digital display of all entries for everyone to enjoy
Why Sharing Our Christmas Trees Brings Us Together
I’ve always believed that Christmas decorations give us a little glimpse into what matters most to each family. When we share these personal traditions, we create connections in our community that last far beyond the holiday season.
Last year, I was touched by how many conversations started in the comments section – neighbors discovering shared traditions, newcomers to Melbourne getting decoration inspiration, and longtime residents sharing stories behind special ornaments.
Melbourne’s Most Unique Christmas Tree Trends
Based on what we saw last year, Brevard County residents have some distinctive Christmas tree styles:
| Tree Style | What Makes It Special |
|---|---|
| Coastal Christmas | Seashells, blue lights, and beach-themed ornaments |
| Space Coast Pride | NASA ornaments, rockets, and stars galore |
| Florida Festive | Flamingos, palm trees, and tropical colors |
| Traditional Southern | Magnolias, ribbon, and heirloom decorations |
Will we see these trends continue this year? Or will Melbourne families surprise us with completely new ideas?
When Does the Contest End?
You have until December 20th to share your tree photos. Winners will be announced on December 22nd, just in time for Christmas!
But honestly, the real joy of this contest isn’t about winning – it’s about creating a virtual community holiday experience that we can all enjoy from the comfort of our homes.
Tips for Taking Great Christmas Tree Photos
- Try capturing your tree when it’s dark outside with just the tree lights on
- Photograph from different angles to find the most flattering view
- Include a special detail shot of your favorite ornament
- Natural lighting during the day can highlight the details of your decorations
Let’s Make This a Melbourne Holiday Tradition!
I can’t wait to see your beautiful Christmas trees filling up our comments section again this year! Each one represents a home in our community celebrating the season in their own special way.
So what are you waiting for? Snap a picture, share your tree, and spread some holiday cheer with your neighbors across Melbourne and Brevard County!
Don’t forget to tag a friend who needs to share their tree too! Let’s make this year’s contest even bigger and brighter than before. πβ¨
