Recently, Southern Living highlighted two charming spots in the Sarasota-Manatee area, and it’s got us thinking: how do these destinations stack up against our own beautiful Brevard County?
Southern Living’s list of the top 50 beach towns in the South saw Siesta Key and Anna Maria Island making waves. Siesta Key, which boasts soft, quartz sand that feels cool underfoot even in the heat, snagged the 15th spot. This area isn’t just about stunning beaches; it’s also packed with shops and eateries, making it ideal for a leisurely day out. With a free trolley service to whisk you around, visitors don’t even need to bother with parking! Can you envision the fun you’d have collecting shells or enjoying a sunset stroll on those pristine sands?
Meanwhile, Anna Maria Island charmed its way to the 11th position, and it’s easy to see why. Known for its sugar-white sands and picturesque surroundings, this island offers an escape from the hustle and bustle.
