I mean, how could Melbourne, Cocoa Beach, or Viera not make the cut? You all voiced your opinions loud and clear when we asked whether you agreed with the rankings last week—nearly 90% of you said no!
Comments from our community highlighted a lot of frustration and disbelief. One commentator from Delray Beach noted how everyone raves about their town, yet it too was overlooked. It raises the question: What does it really mean to be the “best” place to live? As Linda Galetta passionately pointed out, the Space Coast’s stunning beaches and robust employment opportunities can’t be compared to landlocked towns. Why would anyone settle for less when we’ve got the magnificent Atlantic Ocean right in our backyard?

As Don and Annette Winterich shared, living in places like Satellite Beach and Viera has made them feel at home with opportunities to stay active and engage with the community. Many retirees find a welcoming spirit and endless leisure activities, whether it’s volunteering or taking in the local arts scene.
