NG-2 Update: We are scheduled to launch Thursday, November 13, with a launch window from 2:57 PM – 4:25 PM EST / 19:57 – 21:25 UTC. The live webcast starts at T-20 minutes. New Glenn's second mission will launch from Launch Complex 36 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station and will send NASA’s ESCAPADE twin spacecraft to Mars. This launch will support ESCAPADE’s science objectives as the twin spacecraft progress on their journey to the Red Planet. Also onboard is a technology demonstration from Viasat in support of NASA’s Communications Services Project. NG-2 Flight Profile
New Glenn lifts off from Launch Complex 36. Following separation, the first stage autonomously descends toward Jacklyn, a landing platform located several hundred miles downrange in the Atlantic. Meanwhile, the two BE-3U engines ignite, propelling New Glenn’s second stage into space. The fairing separates and the twin ESCAPADE spacecraft are deployed to begin their journey to Mars. After completion of the mission profile, the second stage will be safed and inerted, which is compliant with NASA’s Orbital Debris Mitigation Standard Practices.
