Heads Up, Space Coast! Nighttime Lane Closure on Sarno Road
If you’re planning to hit the roads in Melbourne this week, you might want to adjust your travel plans a bit! The City of Melbourne’s Public Works and Utilities Department is gearing up for some critical maintenance work on Sarno Road. From May 26-27, the outside westbound lane between Reynolds Drive and Kelmore Drive will be temporarily closed for force main connections.
This nighttime construction is set to take place between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., so you won’t have to worry about daytime disruptions when you’re out enjoying our beautiful Space Coast. With maintenance of traffic measures in place, drivers can expect some detours, but don’t worry—access to all driveways will remain open. So if you live in the area or plan to visit, you’ll still be able to reach your destination.
Next time you’re out at the Cocoa Beach or enjoying a family dinner in Viera, just keep in mind that there might be a little traffic delay near Sarno Road during those nighttime hours. The ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure in Brevard County are crucial for our growing community, and this project is a step in the right direction.
Have questions or concerns about the construction? You can reach out to Ameer Hasan at (321) 536-5488 for more information. It’s always good to stay in the loop, especially when it comes to major roadwork that might affect your night drives!
So, fellow Space Coast residents, let’s be patient and understanding as this work unfolds. We know it’s a bit of a hassle, but in the long run, it’s all part of keeping our roads safe and efficient. Your cooperation is what makes our community stronger!
