After a weather-related delay on Monday, the highly anticipated Falcon Heavy launch is now slated for this Wednesday morning. The 85-minute window opens at 10:13 a.m. from the iconic Launch Complex 39A at Kennedy Space Center—a spot many of us can proudly call local.
This mission, known as ViaSat-3 F3, is no small feat. Not only does it continue the incredible legacy of innovation right here on the Space Coast, but it also highlights SpaceX’s advanced engineering and commitment to pushing the boundaries of satellite capabilities. Now, in case Mother Nature decides to play tricks again, there’s a backup launch opportunity lined up for Thursday, April 30, at 10:09 a.m. So, whether you’re an early bird or a night owl, mark your calendar and keep your fingers crossed that the weather holds up for us. If you’re watching from a good vantage point along the coast, expect to return to a spectacular show as the Falcon Heavy’s two side boosters make their descent back to Earth at LZ-2 and LZ-40.
