Important Traffic Update for Young Street in Melbourne
Hey, Space Coast neighbors! If you’re planning to head out in Melbourne on April 2, you might want to take a different route. The City of Melbourne’s Public Works and Utilities Department is gearing up to make some essential updates by closing one lane of Young Street at its intersection with Sunny Point Drive. This work is set to kick off bright and early at 5 a.m. and will be wrapping up by 7 p.m.
This lane closure is all about improving our community’s infrastructure, specifically a new sewer pipe connection. We know how much you love your daily drives, especially with the beautiful Space Coast scenery all around, but a little patience will go a long way. The city will set up maintenance of traffic to help move you around the work area, so be sure to keep an eye out for signage and detours!
As part of our amazing Brevard County community, it’s important for us to stay informed on these types of projects—after all, they play a crucial role in keeping our neighborhoods safe and functioning smoothly. If you often cruise through this part of Melbourne, plan for potential delays and maybe even grab a coffee while you wait—support our local businesses while you’re at it!
For any questions or further clarification about the lane closure, feel free to reach out to Butch Burke at (321) 608-5172. The city appreciates your understanding as they work to enhance our infrastructure and maintain the high quality of life we enjoy here on the Space Coast.
