Exciting Retail News for Merritt Island: New Ownership at the Shoppes at Victoria Square!

If you’ve been enjoying shopping at the Shoppes at Victoria Square, get ready for some exciting changes! The bustling retail center, a staple for many of us here on the Space Coast, has just embarked on a new chapter with a recent acquisition valued at $16 million by MHCommercial Real Estate Fund II. Located just a stone’s throw from the Kennedy Space Center, this shopping haven spans a whopping 109,000 square feet and is home to favorites like Burlington, Five Below, and Ulta Beauty. What’s even better? It was 98% leased at the time of the sale, a promising sign for the local retail scene.

The purchase is notable not just because of its size, but also as the second investment in Merritt Island by MHCommercial Fund II. Back in July, they acquired Merritt Crossing, another popular grocery-anchored center that further invests in the community’s growth. It’s clear that local business dynamics are thriving, which bodes well for residents and visitors alike.

Local representation played a strong role in this deal as well. John Crotty, Michael Fay, and their team from Avison Young successfully managed the transaction for the sellers. And on the buyer’s side, the legal team from Kapp Morrison Aker LLP stepped in to finalize everything. Collaboration between various local enterprises is a testament to how our community supports itself — something we can all appreciate right here in Brevard County.

What does this mean for us? Well, with NAI Merin Hunter Codman at the helm managing the shopping center, we can expect continued quality service and perhaps even the introduction of new retailers to our favorite shopping spot. Plus, Holly Carver and the team from Rocket City Commercial Real Estate will be working diligently to keep this hub vibrant and engaging.

Stay tuned, Space Coast! The Shoppes at Victoria Square are set to continue being a go-to destination for both shopping and family fun. What do you think, Space Coast? Drop your thoughts below.
