Upcoming Lane Closure on W. NASA Blvd. — What to Expect May 28

Lane Closure: W. NASA Blvd., May 28

Local Road Work Alert: W. NASA Boulevard Lane Closure

If you’ve got plans to drive along W. NASA Boulevard in Brevard County, you’ll want to take note of some upcoming construction work. Our friends at Southeast Surveying and Mapping Corp. are stepping up to improve our roads, but it comes with a slight hiccup that might affect your commute. Whether you’re heading to the beach or just taking a leisurely drive through town, this lane closure could make a difference!

On May 28, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the outer westbound lane near the intersection of Commerce Drive will be closed. This means you may want to plot a different route or set your GPS for some additional time on your travel plans that day. The good news? Traffic signs and detours will be in place, helping to guide you smoothly to wherever you need to go. However, we can’t stress enough how important it is to pay attention to those signs. Your safety and the safety of other drivers is a priority for everyone!

Living here on the Space Coast, we all know that our community thrives on connectivity—both in terms of transportation and in keeping each other informed. So, while it might be a minor inconvenience, understanding that this work aims at improving our roads can help ease those frustrations. Plus, who doesn’t enjoy a freshly paved road when it’s done?

If you have any questions about this project, feel free to reach out to the City of Melbourne Engineering team at 321-608-7300 or shoot them an email at rightofway@mlbfl.org. They’re always ready to help our community stay informed!

So mark your calendars and plan accordingly for May 28. We appreciate your patience, Space Coast residents, and let’s work together to navigate our beautiful roads safely!
